Hope Wing Seller Terms
These rules apply to everyone selling gently used goods in the Hope Wing. Opening a shop means you agree to them. Last updated August 2026.
1. Who can sell
You must be 18 or older with a Mission Mall account, selling your own lawfully owned items or items your ministry/nonprofit is authorized to resell. One shop per account.
2. What you may list
Gently used clothing, shoes, accessories, home goods, furniture, books, media, toys, and collectibles. Items must be clean, complete, and safe to use. Handmade and new overstock are allowed when clearly described.
3. Prohibited items
- Weapons, ammunition, explosives, or weapon parts
- Recalled products, car seats, cribs, or infant sleep products
- Used cosmetics, opened personal-care items, underwear, or swimwear worn without tags
- Prescription drugs, supplements, vapes, tobacco, alcohol, or CBD/THC products
- Counterfeit or replica branded goods; stolen goods
- Animals, animal parts, or ivory
- Adult content, occult items, or anything promoting hate or violence
- Electronics with damaged batteries, or any item missing required safety labeling
- Gift cards, tickets, currency, financial instruments, or services
Listings that violate this section are removed without notice, and repeat violations close the shop.
4. Listing accuracy
Use your own photos of the actual item. Disclose every flaw — stains, tears, missing parts, pet or smoke exposure. State size and measurements where relevant. Condition must match one of the wing's condition labels honestly.
5. Shipping standards
- Ship within your stated handling window (1–21 days, default 3 business days).
- Pack items so they arrive undamaged; add tracking and enter it in your dashboard.
- Charge shipping at or below your actual cost. Free local pickup must be agreed in writing with the buyer.
- Orders not shipped within 10 days of the handling window are refunded in full to the buyer.
6. Buyer protection, returns and refunds
Payment is held until the buyer confirms delivery. If an item never arrives, or arrives materially different from the listing, Mission Mall refunds the buyer and the sale is reversed. Buyers have 5 days after delivery to report a problem. Change-of-mind returns are at the seller's discretion and must be stated in the listing.
7. Money, splits and payouts
On the Free Stall, Mission Mall collects payment and you keep 80% of the item price; 10% goes to the church or nonprofit the buyer chooses and 10% keeps the mall running. Leased shops ($9/mo and up) keep 90% of the item price, with 10% going to the buyer's chosen ministry. Shipping you charge is passed to you in full. The ministry share is never part of your balance. Buyers select the ministry at checkout; your shop's ministry is the default. Cleared balances of $20 or more can be requested for payout from your shop dashboard and are paid within 7 business days.
8. Taxes and your own compliance
You are an independent seller, not a Mission Mall employee. You are responsible for your own income reporting and for any local licensing that applies to resale in your area.
9. Conduct
Treat buyers with kindness and answer messages within 2 business days. No harassment, no off-platform payment requests, no soliciting buyers away from the mall, and no fake reviews or self-purchases.
10. Suspension and closure
Mission Mall may hide a listing, pause a shop, or close an account for violations, unresolved disputes, or repeated late shipping. Cleared funds owed to you are still paid out. You may close your shop at any time after fulfilling open orders. Monthly leases cancel at the end of the paid period and are non-refundable.
11. Changes and questions
We may update these terms; material changes are emailed to shop owners. Questions: info@missionmall.org.
